About KPM >>

Kalama Precision Machine is a family owned machine shop, contracting with local manufacturers to supply detail parts and sub-assemblies. We specialize in precision milling, boring, turning and threading machined parts. Parts manufactured by our company can be found in helicopters, satellites, automated cabinet manufacturing equipment, yachts, race cars, screen printers, pizza machines, garden carts etc. We also have experience in manufacturing stamping dies for sheet metal parts used in the computer and electronics industry.

Large quantities or one of a kind R&D work. We very selectively expand our customer base and would like the opportunity to quote any of this type of work you may need. In comparison to large shops, our customer base is small, therefore our turn around time can be very short.

We have experience working with a wide variety of materials (graphite and composite materials, engineering plastics, as well as most metals).

Our company background includes 23 years in the Aerospace industry and 23 years as a job shop. Our production manager was employed as a machinist at the Boeing Company for 14 years.

One of our most valued customers is an Oregon based manufacturer of crop dusting and helicopter load hooks and cargo handling equipment. We have recurring contracts for over 20 detail parts for this firm. This type of commitment serves to validate our capabilities and quality of work.

We also manufacture and distribute the complete Small Shop product line. Photo-etch and brass forming tools for the serious scale modeler.
